The BlackBerry Torch 9800 has been pretty popular lately and the BlackBerry Bold 9700 has represented BlackBerry ever since it was announced. Let’s compare the two phone.
BlackBerry Torch 9800:
- 3.2″ 16M Colors Touch Screen
- Full Qwerty Keyboard
- Optical Trackpad
- 4GB Internal Memory
- 512MB RAM
- 512MB ROM
- mircoSD Up to 32GB (4GB Included)
- 5MP Camera with LED Flash
- Video Camera with 24fps
- BlackBerry OS 6.0
- 624MHz Processor
- 432h Stand-By
- 5h 40m Talk-Time
The Torch has some great specifications and has a touch screen also. The touch screen is something that you usually don’t get with a BlackBerry.
BlackBerry Bold 9700:
- 2.44″ 65K Colors Screen
- Full Qwerty Keyboard
- Touch-Sensitive Trackpad
- 256MB Internal Storage
- 256MB RAM
- microSD Up to 16GB (2GB Included)
- 3.2 Megapixel Camera with LED Flash
- Video Camera
- BlackBerry OS 5.0
- 624MHz Processor
- 408h Stand-By
- 6h Talk-Time
This phone has pretty much everything you would need plus a lot more. It’s a great phone for people who always need to be checking their email and surfing the web.
My Opinion:
I think that the BlackBerry Torch is great for people who like touch screen phones and use the camera on their phone a lot. If you don’t like the touch screen and don’t really care much for the camera though, I’d go with the BlackBerry Bold 9700.
